<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compiling device and a method capable of specifying a variable name for a processor element as an argument in a function call, specifying the variable name for the processor element as an automatic variable in the function and reducing a stack region for storing variable values. <P>SOLUTION: When an argument is a variable name of a global processor in the function call, the compiling device retracts an argument value into a stack region of the global processor. When the argument is the variable name of a processor element, the device retracts the argument value into the stack region of the processor element. The device develops a code to take out the argument value from each stack region. If an automatic variable is the variable name of the global processor when the region of the automatic variable is secured, the code is developed so as to secure the region of the automatic variable in the stack region of the global processor.
