<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad for a disk brake in which weight of a backing is sufficiently reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A pad 10 for a disk brake includes: a friction material 11; a back board 12 for supporting a back surface of the friction material 11; and a pair of ears 12a1, 12a2 which are provided in both circumferential-direction end portions of the back board 12, respectively. The back board 12 includes: a resin body 12a which includes the ears 12a1, 12a2 and supports the friction material 11; and metallic protecting plates 12b, 12c which are provided integrally in both circumferential-direction end portions of the body 12a, respectively, and cover and protect surrounding surfaces SLa, STa of the ears 12a1, 12a2 and circumferential-direction end faces SLb, SLc, STb, STc of the body 12a continuous with the surrounding surfaces SLa, STa. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
