A machine for manufacturing shutter rails (1, 2, 3 figure 3) to slide securely into hollow shutter stile profiles is disclosed. The joint produced between the rails and stile may include aluminium reinforcement (4). The machine preferably comprises a sliding bed to which the rail may be clamped. The machine may comprise five cutting machines (figure 4). Channels and slots may be cut into the shutter rails (figure 6). The shutters produced are preferably plantation shutters manufactured from un-plasticised poly vinyl chloride (UPVC). |
