<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle capable of running using a drive force from at least a motor generator, wherein efficiency of energy can be properly improved when the vehicle runs while taking a change in running environment of the vehicle into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle 100 includes: the motor generator 130 for generating a running drive force; an ECU 300; and a detecting section 200 for detecting a change in the running condition of the vehicle 100. The ECU 300 executes drive force changing operation for allowing the vehicle 100 to run while switching the motor generator 130 between a first state (high power state) that a predetermined drive force is generated and a second state (low power state) that a drive force is smaller than that in the first state.
