<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data readout device which generates clock suitable for data readout. <P>SOLUTION: In a data readout device, a two-stage clock generation is implemented to generate a new clock from a system clock in order to absorb an error contained in the system clock itself. A clock to be provided to a second stage is generated in a first stage using the system clock and information representing a data length transferred to the data. A specified time is calculated from information transferred to the data, then a clock to provide timing for reading out buffered data is generated from the number of data bytes within the specified time.
