<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deposited token detection method, a deposited token detection device, a deposited token sorting device, and a game machine, in which an illegal act is ineffective to prevent execution of counting error by providing a detection means of high detection performance in which token distinction performance is improved. <P>SOLUTION: A token passage 33 is provided to introduce tokens deposited from an inlet inward to roll one by one by their weight. The toke passage 33 includes an end passage range A2 positioned on the downstream and on the passage end side, and a center passage range A1 that is wider as the token passage 33 except the end side passage range A2.
