<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a guidance display suitable for a given display form of setting items. <P>SOLUTION: A first screen displaying a plurality of setting items superposed over an image is displayed while the image is being displayed, or a second screen displaying a plurality of setting items is displayed in a state of not displaying an image. Out of the plurality of setting items, at least one setting item is selected, and a guidance display of the at least one setting item that has been selected is displayed superposed over a prescribed length of time over the displayed screen. An image pickup device is so controlled as to make the prescribed length of time for giving the guidance display of the same setting item shorter in the case of displaying the guidance display superposed over the second screen than in the case of displaying the guidance display superposed over the first screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
