<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner having less charge from contributing to development by increasing the charge amount of the toner passing through a developer flow slowing part. <P>SOLUTION: In a developing apparatus, a collection chamber is disposed under a feed chamber in the vertical direction. In the collection chamber, developer is conveyed to the downstream end of the collection chamber by a collection chamber conveyance member 305. Then, the conveyed developer is forced by the following developer up to the upstream end of the feed chamber through a communication port for communication between the downstream end of the collection chamber and the upstream end of the feed chamber. In a downstream side portion of the collection chamber including a developer flow slowing part, near the downstream end of the collection chamber, where the developer flows slowly, a cross sectional area enlarged part 310 is provided so that the downstream side portion of the collection chamber has a wider cross section than the upstream side portion thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
