<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which: in a color image forming apparatus employing a tandem system, in detecting displacement of marks each formed in respective stations subsequent to a second station relative to a mark formed in a first station that is transferred on an intermediate transfer belt and controlling the rotation speed of a photoreceptor drum so as to correct color shift, speed variation of the intermediate transfer belt can hinder the color shift correction. <P>SOLUTION: When a speed variation cycle of a transfer medium is Tfb, and duration of time for the transfer medium to move between a position of an image carrier on the upstream side where a second scale is formed and a position of an image carrier on the downstream side is Ts, Ts/Tfb is set to be a positive integer value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
