[Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Group XXV] Gears, bearing-races, pulleys, &c. are secured on shafts by circlips, one of which functions as an annular wedge. Machine parts are similarly secured within hollow shafts or housings. The part 21 is located on a section 20 of a shaft so as to overhang grooves located on each side. The side 28 abuts a plain circlip 30 of the type having eccentric inner and outer edges. The side 26 abuts a wedging circlip 10 having a conical surface 17 concentric with the inner edge 18. This edge does not bottom in the groove. |
