PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine that can be miniaturized and is easily manufactured.SOLUTION: The variable valve gear includes: a cam carrier 4 cylindrically formed to surround a camshaft 3, integrally rotated with the camshaft 3, movable to an axial direction of the camshaft 3, having a low speed cam 41 and a high speed cam 42 having different operation characteristics of an intake valve 13 on an outer peripheral surface, and having an end cam surface 43 spirally formed on an axial end surface and having a height difference in the axial direction; and a pushout drive part 5 for moving the cam carrier 4 to the axial direction by pushing the end cam surface 43 by an end part of a piston 51 reciprocable along the axial direction of the camshaft 3, so that switching between the low speed cam 41 and the high speed cam 42 is performed. |
