<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet carrier capable of stably reducing the carrier resistance of sheets which are separated and carried one by one. <P>SOLUTION: A separation roller 12 is disposed to abut on the sheet 99 mounted to a first mount part 81 from above and rotates around a first shaft center X1 to feed out the sheet 99 in a carrying direction D1. A separation member 20 is disposed to form a first nip N1 nipping the sheet 99 together with the separation roller 12 and separates the sheets 99 fed out by the separation roller 12 one by one. A holder 21 holds the separation member 20. Supports 30L, 30R support the holder 21 slidably around a second shaft center X2 situated in parallel with the first shaft center X1 and downstream of the carrying direction D1 relative to the separation member 20. An actuating member 40 actuates the holder 21 so as to press the separation member 20 against the separation roller 12.
