<p>Provided is an air purifier capable of efficiently restoring the capacity of an adsorbent to adsorb odors. In order to solve said problem, said air purifier is provided with the following: a case in which an intake and outlet that open to the outside of the air purifier are formed, said case having an air passage that connects said intake and outlet; a fan means that is built into the case and introduces room air into the aforementioned air passage running from the intake to the outlet; a deodorizing element, provided in the air passage, through which the introduced air can pass; a heating unit that locally heats said deodorizing element; a position-change means that changes the relative positional relationship between the heating unit and the deodorizing element; and a control means that controls the flow of current to the fan means, the heating unit, and the position-change means. The deodorizing element has the ability to recover its deodorizing capacity when heated by the heating unit and is disc-shaped, with the center of said disc located roughly in the center of the case in the left/right direction as seen from the front of the case.</p> |
