<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a communication apparatus to determine a communicate mode of a network interface device in a state where the communication apparatus is shifted to a power saving mode, and allow the network interface device to perform setting.SOLUTION: An MFP 100 acquires capability information indicating communication capability of a HUB 102 from an NIC 101 and, on the basis of the acquired capability information, determines a communicate mode (communication speed, Duplex) at the time of communication between the NIC 101 and the HUB 102 in a state where the MFP 100 is shifted to a sleep mode. And, when the MFP 100 is shifted to the sleep mode from a standby state, the MFP 100 makes the NIC101 set the determined communicate mode as a communicate mode used when the NIC101 communicates with the HUB 102.</p> |
