A corn or similar pad is made of several superimposed layers of adhesive material, all of the same overall area, and with a serrated or other irregularly shaped edge extending through the entire height of the pad. The extended periphery relieves the pressure on the skin at the edge of the plaster. Furthermore the outer tips of the serrations are able to spread sideways with consequent reduction in thickness so as to permit hosiery &c. to slide freely over it.
