<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering apparatus capable of reducing an inertia torque of a steering shaft when a rack shaft collides against a stopper. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering apparatus 1 includes the steering shaft 10, the rack shaft 20, the stopper 41, an electric motor 51 which imparts a torque to the steering shaft 10, and a control device 54 that outputs a command signal for controlling the drive current of the electric motor 51. When defining that "an inertia torque" is a torque generated on the steering shaft 10 when the rack shaft 20 collides against the stopper 41, "a compensation torque" is a torque in a direction opposite to the inertia torque, "a compensation current" is a drive current of the electric motor 51 for imparting the compensation torque to the steering shaft 10, and "a compensation command signal" is a command signal for supplying the compensation current to the electric motor 51, the control device 54 outputs the compensation command signal so long as the inertial torque is present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
