<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus detector and a photographing device which are capable of properly detecting a focus. <P>SOLUTION: A focus detector having an AF detector 14 and a controller 30 includes: a phase difference detection part 14; a control part 31 which can perform a first gain control for controlling a gain without using an amount of light while the phase difference detection part 14 detects a phase difference and a second gain control for controlling a gain by using the amount of light while the phase difference detection part 14 detects the phase difference, and switch from the first gain control to the second gain control when an abnormality occurs in the first gain control while performing the first gain control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
