<p>A vehicle wheel (1) comprising a wheel rim (2), a brake pot fastened thereto and a brake disk fastened to the brake pot, wherein on the wheel rim there is provided a plurality of pivotably mounted plate-shaped covering elements (4) for temporarily closing off associated apertures (3) in the wheel rim, which covering elements can be moved by means of at least one thermally controlled setting element (17) from a closed position, which the covering elements assume under centrifugal force when the wheel rotates, into an open position, wherein each covering element is displaceable along the pivot axis counter to the force of a restoring element (12) and is connected to the wheel rim via a coupling element (13) which provides positive guidance during a displacement movement, wherein the coupling element (13) has an integrated elasticity (18), or is mounted counter to such an elasticity (18) on the wheel rim and/or on the covering element, such that the force required for moving a covering element (4) from the closed position into the open position is limited.</p> |
