<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-curable resin composition and a multilayer diffraction optical element, in which a gradient in the refractive index or scattering of light due to movement of fine particles during curing the energy-curable resin composition can be suppressed while maintaining a characteristic of a low refractive index and high dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The energy-curable resin composition contains: (A) an organic component containing at least one kind of fluorine-based monomer having a polymerizable functional group in the molecule and at least one kind of acrylic monomer having at least two polymerizable functional groups in the molecule; (B) transparent conductive metal oxide fine particles; and (C) a polymerization initiator. In the composition, the content of the (A) organic component is 40 wt.% or more and 68 wt.% or less, and the content of the acrylic monomer included in the organic component is 1.3 wt.% or more and 5.0 wt.% or less with respect to the organic component.
