<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sticking of dirt or flaw and also restrict inclusion of foreign matter such as bubble, thereby helping to improve light extraction efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An EL element 1 is composed of a laminate which includes a translucent substrate 2, a luminous layer 6 sandwiched between an anode 4 and a cathode 5 on a reverse side thereof, and an EL element laminated surface protective sheet 12 provided on a surface side of the translucent substrate 2. The protective sheet 12 consists of a liner 10 and a protective film 13 which are laminated one on another on a surface side of the translucent substrate 2. The liner 10 has substantially flat apexes 17 formed in shape of a lattice with ribs 14 and concavities 18 having inclined side faces between the apexes. An area rate s of the apexes 17 relative to the area of the liner 10 in a plan view is 10%-40%, in which the width of the apex Wt satisfies the expression (1), where P is a pitch of apex, and the width of the concavity Wo satisfies the expression (2): Wt=P(1-√(1-s)≤100μm ...
