<p>A method and an apparatus for multi-service adaptation and carriage, comprising: mapping at the service adaptation layer different types of services into uniform enhanced Gigabit Passive Optical Network Encapsulation Method (E-GEM) frames; combining at the channel layer E-GEM frames encapsulating the same type of services into the same type of T-CONT frames; setting a priority for each type of T-CONT; guaranteeing bandwidth for T-CONT frames with high priority and preferentially sending it.</p>
