<p>A head/helmet mountable display with a detection arrangement (fig 15, 600) for detecting the position of one or both of the users eyes and an image correction arrangement (fig 15, 610) to apply an image correction to images according to the detected eye position. The eye tracking may involve checking the pupil position and use one or more cameras (fig 9A/B, 322/332). The image correction arrangement preferably corrects chromatic aberrations, updating based on the last detected eye position, at least as fast as the display frequency. The description also includes an HMD with a eye position detector 700 which uses one or more cameras to detect the position of each of the users eyes, a dominant eye detector 710 and an image generator, which generates images in dependence upon the users eye positions and configured to apply a greater weight to the detected position of the dominant eye than the non-dominant eye.</p> |
