发明名称 Fuel cell stack
摘要 A fuel cell of a fuel cell stack includes separators. Each of the separators includes a fuel gas supply section, a bridge, and a sandwiching section. A fuel gas supply passage extends through the center of the fuel gas supply section, and a fuel gas supply channel is formed in the bridge. A plurality of the fuel cells are stacked together to form a stack body. Side insulating members are provided in parallel with an extension line extending from the bridge, and along both of outer portions of the sandwiching section. The side insulating members suppress heat radiation from the fuel cells, and are used as a reference level for positioning the fuel cells at the time of stacking the fuel cells.

主权项 1. A fuel cell stack including a stack body formed by stacking a plurality of fuel cells and a casing containing the stack body, the fuel cells each formed by stacking an electrolyte electrode assembly between separators, the electrolyte electrode assembly including an anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte interposed between the anode and the cathode, the separators each including: a rectangular sandwiching section for sandwiching the electrolyte electrode assembly, the sandwiching section having a fuel gas channel for supplying a fuel gas along an electrode surface of the anode and an oxygen-containing gas channel for supplying an oxygen-containing gas along an electrode surface of the cathode separately; a bridge connected to the sandwiching section, a reactant gas supply channel being formed in the bridge for supplying the fuel gas to the fuel gas channel or supplying the oxygen-containing gas to the oxygen-containing gas channel; and a reactant gas supply section connected to the bridge, a reactant gas supply passage extending through the reactant gas supply section in a stacking direction for supplying the fuel gas or the oxygen-containing gas to the reactant gas supply channel, the stack body comprising: a heat insulating section provided in parallel with an extension line extending from the bridge and along at least one of outer portions of the sandwiching section for reducing heat radiation from the fuel cells, the heat insulating section being used as a reference level for positioning the fuel cells at the time of stacking the fuel cells, wherein the heat insulating section is disposed at a position relative to the sandwiching section at which the heat insulating section directly contacts said outer portions of the sandwiching section when a temperature in the fuel cell stack is at or greater than a predetermined temperature reached during fuel cell operation, and includes an inner surface spaced from said outer portions of the sandwiching section to form a predetermined clearance when the temperature in the fuel cell stack is lower than said predetermined temperature reached during fuel cell operation.
