Provided is a cell culture instrument which has excellent operability while including a plurality of wells capable of holding cells. The cell culture instrument according to the present invention includes a base portion in which a well group including a plurality of first wells capable of holding cells is formed, and a frame portion vertically arranged around the well group of the base portion to form a second well being capable of holding a solution.

1. A cell culture instrument, comprising:
a base portion in which a well group including a plurality of first wells capable of holding cells is formed; and a frame portion vertically arranged on an upper surface of the base portion around the well group of the base portion to form a second well being capable of holding a solution, wherein:
the base portion consists of a base member, the frame portion consists of a frame member, and the base member and the frame member are formed independently from each other;the frame member is provided with a through-hole that corresponds to the well group and is constituted so as to be attached to and detached from the base member;in a state that the frame member is being attached to the base member, an inner wall of the through-hole is vertically arranged around the well group to form the second well;a first joint portion and a second joint portion which: i) are configured to be connected to each other, and ii) are formed at corresponding positions on the base member and the frame member, respectively;a plurality of the well groups are formed apart from each other in the base member;the first joint portion is formed around and completely encircles all of the plurality of the well groups.
