<p>The present invention relates to a small hydropower generation apparatus using a pier and a screw-type waterwheel, which enables relatively easy small hydropower generation using existing structures. The small hydropower generation apparatus of the present invention includes: a waterwheel supporting/fixing member which supports and fixes one or more waterwheels with a constant distance therebetween by a holder which is installed in a lower end part of a pier by a waterwheel fixing block and includes waterwheel supporting rods integrally formed at left and right sides of the waterwheel fixing block, and one or more auxiliary supporting rods corresponding to the waterwheel supporting rods, wherein the waterwheel supporting/fixing member supports and fixes the waterwheels under water to be freely rotated according to a flow rate and a flow speed around the pier; one or more waterwheels which has screw-shaped waterwheel wings on the outer surface of a pole-shaped waterwheel shaft, with both ends of the waterwheel shaft supported to be freely rotated by the waterwheel supporting/fixing member so that the waterwheels are rotated by rotational force of the waterwheel wings according to a flow of water; and a power generating member which is connected to one end of the waterwheel shaft via at least one gear to generate electrical energy. Therefore, the small hydropower generation apparatus of the present invention enables small hydropower generation at less costs, thereby reducing costs for development and production of renewable energy.</p> |
