A stereoscopic image display control apparatus for stereoscopically displaying an object within a range between proper amounts of projection and recession from a display surface of a display device, the apparatus comprising: a most projecting position determination unit configured to determine a most projecting position at which the object projects most from the display surface and a most receding position at which the object recedes most from the display surface; and a display control unit configured to cause the display device to display the object, wherein the display control unit is configured to: adjust a display position of the object by moving the object in a depth direction until an amount of projection at the most projecting position is equal to the proper amount of projection; and process, by a predetermined method, a portion of the object on a far side relative to the display surface when an amount of recession at the most receding position after adjusting the display position exceeds the proper amount of recession; and wherein when the display control unit processes the portion of the object on the far side relative to the display surface, the display control unit is configured to gradually increase a degree of image processing on the portion with an increase in the amount of the recession so as to prevent the portion of the object on the far side relative to the display surface from being displayed at a position of the proper amount of recession.
