The invention relates to pharmacology and medicine, in particular, to the use of lanthanum carbonate as an acting substance of an anti-inflammatory means for the treatment of contact dermatitis. The aim of the present invention is a use lanthanum carbonate by a novel administration, namely, as an active substance of the anti-inflammatory means for the treatment of contact dermatitis. According to the claimed invention a pharmaceutical composition having an anti-inflammatory activity and comprising lanthanum carbonate with pharmaceutically acceptable additives and use thereof by a novel administration are disclosed.
