<p>The present invention relates to a method and a device for providing color information of an image. The method for providing color information of an image comprises: obtaining lighting information from a lighting environment where an image is taken; compensating first color values which colors expressed in the image have by using the obtained lighting information; analyzing color information on the compensated first color values based on a list of reference colors defining color types expressed in the image; and providing the analyzed color information.</p>
