In an example, disclosed in the present invention is a processor formed for an interruptible atomic exclusive memory operation. For example, a load exclusive (LDEX) has a storage exclusive (STREX) continued from the same, and both of them form an atom together. The operation of STREX is divided into two parts for making handling easy at the right time of interruption. STREX_INIT is not interruptible, but takes clock cycles of the fixed number to have definite executing time. The STREX_INIT sends the value to a memory bus. And then, STREX_SYNC operation falling flag for availability of return value is continued. The STREX_SYNC is interruptible, and disclosed is a method for determining atomic properties of operation while returning from the interruption is distorted. If the atomic properties is distorted, a command fails, but if the atomic properties is preserved, the command is completed. |
