Disclosed are a magnetism maintenance-type firepower adjusting valve wherein firepower is automatically adjusted in case of overheating and a combustion apparatus having the same. According to the present invention, the combustion apparatus having a firepower adjusting valve comprises: an overheating prevention sensor sensing a temperature of a burner; a magnetism maintenance-type firepower adjusting valve configured to control the amount of fuel supplied to a burner based on a magnetic force; and a control unit reducing the amount of fuel supplied to a burner by controlling the magnetism maintenance-type firepower adjusting valve in case a burner is sensed at a temperature higher than a predetermined temperature in the overheating prevention sensor.
