The present invention pertains to certain compounds of the deoxyactagardine B type selected from deoxyactagardine B (7-amino-1-heptylamide monocarboxamide), deoxyactagardine B (9-amino-1-nonylamide monocarboxamide), deoxyactagardine B (12-amino-1-dodecylamide monocarboxamide) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof. Such compounds are suitable for use in the treatment of microbial infections, for example Clostridium infection, in particular C. difficile, especially infection of the colon and/or lower intestines and diarrhoea associated with the microbial infection. |
