Provided are rapidly disintegrating orally dispersing preparations. The preparations comprise a disintegrant mixed with sugar or sugar alcohol coated granules comprising a medicament. The preparations can comprise (S)-N-[2-(1, 6, 7, 8-tetrahydro-2H-indeno[5, 4-b]furan-8-yl)ethyl] propionamide (ramelteon) as the medicament. Further provided are uses of ramelteon in the treatment of bipolar disorder.
