<p>Provided are a method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes having a superhydrophobic property and carbon nanotubes manufactured thereby. The method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes having a superhydrophobic property may comprise the steps of: heating carbon nanotubes; passing a liquid solvent containing a hydrocarbon-based material which does not contain oxygen elements through the carbon nanotubes by using carrier gas so as to form an amorphous carbon layer on the surface of the carbon nanotubes; and cooling the carbon nanotubes. Accordingly, regardless of a method for manufacturing multi-walled carbon nanotubes, it is possible to change the surface property of the multi-walled carbon nanotubes to the superhydrophobic property by means of simple gas (solvent bubbling) processing wherein the process is simple, and economical as consumption expenses are small when manufacturing, durability is strong due to property changes by means of a strong chemical bond, and therefore, a variety of applications can be expected.</p> |
