<p>A speaker and a speaker housing are provided, with which the propagation of sound waves through the housing is effectively suppressed using a simple structure. This speaker (1D) is provided with a speaker unit (10) and a housing (20). The housing (20) is a double-walled structure which is provided with: an inner wall part (21) which is provided with one open portion, and which has a space provided therein; and an outer wall part (22) which is provided with one open portion, and which has the inner wall part (21) disposed in a space provided therein. Furthermore, an open end of the inner wall part (21) and an open end of the outer wall part (22) are integrated to form a peripheral edge part (231), and thus a space between the inner wall part (21) and the outer wall part (22) becomes a sealed space. At least one portion of the speaker unit (10) is provided in the space inside the inner wall part (21), and is supported in contact with the inner wall part, in a position away from the peripheral edge part (231). Furthermore, in a cross section orthogonal with respect to an opening surface having the peripheral edge part (231) as an outer periphery thereof, the peripheral edge part (231) is V-shaped.</p> |
