The present invention relates to an amphiphilic block copolymer and a method for removing a hydrophobic contaminant using the same. According to the present invention, an amphiphilic block copolymer comprising a hydrophobic core and a hydrophilic shell is non-toxic and eco-friendly without generating secondary pollution, and has excellent cost competitiveness in comparison with an conventional surfactant as well as excellent elimination capacity of a hydrophobic contaminant by forming a stable micelle particle and strong binding force. Accordingly, the present invention has effects in providing a green remediation technique with high efficiency capable of refining the contaminated ground using an amphiphilic block copolymer.
