<p>The present invention relates to the synthesis of flavones (2-aryl-4H-chromen-4-one) by cyclocondensation of o-hydroxyphenyl aryl-1, 3-propanediones using silica sulphuric acid. The main object of the present invention is to synthesize flavones via a green procedure, in good yields and at room temperature by using heterogeneous reusable acidic media, silica sulphuric acid.</p> |
