摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for selectively reducing carbon dioxide using silicon nanowire and pyridine. According to various embodiments of the present invention, the surface of silicon nanowire manufactured by a solution etching method of the present invention is very rougher than silicon nanowire, and increases the area of portions capable of absorbing light when sunlight is coming onto the rough surface of silicon nanowire. By using pyridine together, concerns that side reactions, such as hydrogen generation, competitively occurring against the reduction reaction of carbon dioxide are frequently generated, can be solved, and the efficiency of selectively reducing carbon dioxide can be increased. Furthermore, the present invention can eliminate the need for high voltage with respect to a conventional technology for converting carbon dioxide into fuel by using solar energy.</p>
