The invention relates to a method for producing a value document, comprising the steps of: a) printing a value document substrate with an oxidatively drying ink; b) treating the printed value document substrate with UV radiation or with ozone; and c) drying the printed valuable document substrate, which has been treated with UV radiation, at room temperature or at an elevated temperature.
