<p>A cutting system for forming teeth on work-pieces is disclosed. The cutting system includes a base, an anvil securely holding work-pieces, a frame assembly mounted on the base, a sliding assembly supported by the frame assembly and supports a plurality of guide elements and a trolley, a ram assembly mounted on the trolley, a feed assembly, a first control system and the second control system. The ram assembly includes a ram that moves a chisel assembly towards and away from the work-piece to form teeth thereon and is moved by a cam and follower mechanism, a bellow cylinder and a spring. The feed assembly selectively facilitates travel of the trolley along the guide elements. The first control system controls pressure within the bellow cylinder. The second control system selectively actuates and de-actuates the feed assembly that in turn selectively actuates and de-actuates travel of the trolley along the guide elements.</p> |
