Disclosed are compounds having a 2-(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenol backbone represented by formula (I), where the substituents are defined herein, an example being 2-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-4-fluorophenol or 2-(3,4,5-trimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenol. The compounds are intended for use as topical anti-fungal agents, particularly for the treatment of tinea, or tinea unguium.
