Disclosed are a service providing method and a file distribution system for setting various functions based on location. A service providing method may include a step of identifying a user setting according to location for the mobile communication terminal of a user, a step of identifying a location related to the user setting according to location, a step of allowing the user setting according to location to interline with the identified location and registering it, a step of monitoring the location of the mobile communication terminal, and a step of changing the setting of the mobile communication terminal by the user setting according to location stored by interlinking with the monitored location when the monitored location is the registered location.
