Provided are a device for recovering and a method for recovering carbon dioxide that are advantageous with respect to device configuration, can have reduced operating costs, and have a reduced energy required for renewing an absorbing solution. In the device for recovering carbon dioxide, an absorbing device that causes carbon dioxide contained in a gas to be absorbed by the absorbing solution has a first absorbing section and a second absorbing section, and the gas passes through the first absorbing section and then is supplied to the second absorbing section. A renewing device that heats the absorbing solution to renew the absorbing solution has a first renewing section and a second renewing section, the first renewing section has an external heat source, and the second renewing section is heated by means of the heat of the gas discharged from the first renewing section. The circulation of the absorbing solution involves: a circulation system that circulates between the second absorbing section and the first renewing section, and a subsidiary system such that a portion of the absorbing solution of the circulation system goes from the second absorbing section sequentially through the first absorbing section and the second renewing section, and is directed toward the first renewing section. The recovered gas discharged from the renewing device is compressed, and the heat of the gas is recovered by means of heat exchange with the absorbing solution and supplied to the renewing device. Condensed water is separated from the recovered gas and added to the absorbing solution recycling to the absorbing device. |
