The present invention relates to a control device and a control method for controlling an actuator that uses a brushless motor as a driving source, and provides an actuator control device capable of appropriately driving a brushless motor without providing a temperature sensor. The control device for controlling an actuator that uses a brushless motor as a driving source estimates the magnet temperature of the brushless motor on the basis of current and rotation speed when the brushless motor is energized so as to reversely rotate, and limits current when the brushless motor is driven in normal rotation so that magnets do not exceed an allowable upper limit temperature. Estimating the magnet temperature and limiting the current to the brushless motor make it possible to drive the brushless motor so that the magnets do not exceed the allowable upper limit temperature without providing a temperature sensor for detecting the magnet temperature of the brushless motor. |
