A ceiling-embedded air conditioner is equipped with: a main body with a built-in heat exchanger; a decorative panel which is attached to the bottom edge of the main body and to which an outlet for blowing air, the heat of which was exchanged by means of the heat exchanger, indoors is provided; and a drain pan which is configured by covering the surface of a heat insulating material with a synthetic resin material. The drain pan has a recessed part for receiving drain water generated by means of the heat exchanger, a communication port which is disposed on the outer periphery of the recessed part and which communicates with the outlet of the decorative panel, and a wall part disposed between the communication port and the outer peripheral part of the recessed part. The heat insulating material is removed from the wall part section, and the wall part is configured from a synthetic resin material. By having said configuration, the opening area of the communication port of the drain pan is enlarged, and the draft resistance of the air blown indoors from the outlet can be suppressed to a minimum, thereby being able to improve air blowing performance. |
