A method for realizing network virtualization and related device and communication system, the method comprising: an SDN controller receives a virtual network establishing request carrying virtual network topology information; establishing a virtual network in response to the virtual network establishing request; the SDN controller establishes device mapping relationships; the SDN controller establishes port mapping relationships; the SDN controller allocates a virtual SDN controller for the virtual network; the SDN controller registers the first virtual forwarding device and the second virtual forwarding device with the virtual SDN controller. The technical solution of an embodiment of the present invention improves the flexibility of service networking, reduces service costs and shortens the service provisioning period.
