This ink composition contains: (a) a compound represented by general formula (1) and having a specific molecular weight; (b) a coloring agent; (c) a polymer having an SP value of from 17 to 24 (inclusive); and (d) water. The log P value of the component (a) and the SP value of the component (c) have a specific relationship. This ink set contains the above-described ink composition; and this inkjet recording method uses the above-described ink composition.
