This method relates to psychology and can be used as a way of self-controlling stress in situations provoking negative emotions of fear, sadness, disgust, anger or anxiety. It is implemented with the aid of individual pneumograms (pneumocodes) and provides a process for controlling one's own emotions by voluntary adjustment of breathing in accordance with individual pneumograms of positive emotions, which are pre-recorded in comfortable conditions against a background of happiness and/or serenity. The process for adjusting the breathing is carried out using a method of respiratory biopotential control based on the principle of biological feedback, wherein the role of a control parameter is played by a pre-recorded pneumogram converted into digital values to form a pneumocode. This allows reproduction of the recorded pneumogram (pneumocode) in various forms: a) as a pneumogram, i.e. a sinusoidal curve, which can be reproduced on the same scale as the real-time pneumogram, b) as a computer game which is controlled by the real-time pneumogram, while the conditions of the game are determined by the recorded pneumocode. Voluntary alignment of a real-time pneumogram with a pneumogram of positive emotions in a respiratory biopotential control mode potentiates in the user that same psycho-emotional condition under which the initial recording of breathing was carried out. Moreover, negative emotions of aggression, disgust, fear and sadness are displaced by induced emotions of happiness and serenity. |
