ELECTRIC ACTUATOR HAVING DETECTING AND REMOVING FUNCTION FOR FOREIGN SUBSTANCE

The present invention provides an electric actuator having foreign material detection and removal functions capable of protecting a system by repeating the forward and backward rotation of a motor at predetermined times through a control part based on a torque value detected by a strain gauge to remove foreign materials when the foreign materials are caught during operation of the actuator or during stopping the operation of the actuator when the foreign materials are not removed. According to the present invention, the electric actuator having foreign material detection and removal functions comprises: a motor for generating driving power; a strain gauge mounted on a rotary shaft of the motor to detect torque and then to send the torque to a control part; a gear part for transmitting the rotation of the motor to a shaft for opening and closing a valve; a display part connected to the gear part to measure and digitally display the opening degree of the valve; and the control part for controlling the operation of the actuator. The electric actuator is controlled to remove the foreign materials by repeating the forward and backward rotation of the motor when the torque detected by the strain gauge is higher than a set torque value due to the foreign materials caught in the valve or to stop the operation of the motor when the torque is higher than the set torque value in spite of the set number of repetition.
