Bracket assemblies and methods of securing a new fixture to existing base are presented. A bracket assembly, in one embodiment, includes an elongate plate having a base area and one or more struts formed by bending, a fastener to attach the base area to the new fixture, and clamp to secure the struts to the existing base. Pach strut may include one or more transverse apertures positioned at one or more intermediate locations along its length, wherein the apertures are sized and shaped to facilitate breaking and thereby selectively adjust the length of each strut.
