Provided is a surgical tensioner that has excellent operability and durability, and is capable of reliably imparting tension to a linear member. A first member (1) includes a fixed handle (110), a movable handle (120) which is pivotally attached to the first member (1) and moves in a longitudinal direction, and a first lever (130) which is pivotally attached to and moves with the movable handle (120) and has a first pawl portion (131) that abuts a second insertion portion (21). A second member (2) has a first rack (211) to which the first pawl member (131) engages only in a direction toward the other end, the first rack (211) being formed in the longitudinal direction outside the second insertion portion (21). The second member (2) is displaced toward the other end by the first lever (130) due to movement of the movable handle (120) toward the other end.
